Today’s mani brought to you by the letters M and S. Not just my initials, but also for Messy and sparkly!!
I thought about doing a messy mani. free hand the tips, use a nail art pen to free hand the stripes, have them be messy in a “It was meant to look that way and looks like it was done intentionally, yet not like a 5 yr old did it.”
It ended up looking like a 5 yr old did it… le sigh. So I wiped it off and started over. Orly bonder as my base, taped off and did a thicker tip using China Glaze Stone Cold which is a dark gray matte with silver glitter. Once that dried, I taped again, over the stone cold, leaving a thin stripe beneath the tape then painted the white. once that was dried, I out a coat of China Glaze Fairy Dust then Savina polish for the hearts on my accent nail. quick dried it all with some Seche Vite, and I was done!!!
Phew, that was a lot. But overall I’m pretty happy with it! fun and funky, sparkly and shiny, just the way I like it!

Milani One Coat Glitter in 552 Pink Flare. Absolutely one of my favorite glitter/holo. The picture above is blurry on purpose so you can see the reflected light better. triple that and that’s what you got in person. Two coats and you have sparkly perfectly rainbow shining nails. Love this polish!
I made my first nail polish!! original red glitter with these hexagon rainbow holographic glitter! suspension base was borrowed from LA Glitter.
I have a product coming in that may allow me to make my own suspension base, then the Frankenstein polishes will be from scratch!! still, 2 coats, formula was a bit runny but not too difficult to control. Very happy!!
Hits holographic polish in Zeus. Gorgeous linear Holo. Also have Hera and Dionysus. Decided to do a black tip Mani and thought that this polish would put it over the top for fun times.
I used Sally Hanson Smooth and Perfect in Dune as my base.
So Spoiled, a new line from Wet & Wild has a new duo chrome color called Paying with Platinum. For 1.30 this was a steal!! The Purple to green is really prominent in the bottle, which is promising. I’ll have to swatch it.
On the wait for some new China Glaze. Sparkles and crackle in one bottle? I said “Oh? My money, just take it.”
You can see from the photo, I broke my thumb nail, all the way to the quick, both hands. Le sigh, but it’ll grow back, right?!
